Kristiansand was conceived by two Norwegian women, Britt Hovde Ross and Elisabeth Steen, Britt and Elisabeth are very proud of their native country and still have strong ties to Norway. They pay homage to their homeland by naming their product line Kristiansand after one of Norway’s most scenic coastal cities and Britt’s hometown. Since the brand is based in New York and was conceived there, New York is also in the name.
